Rosenthal is part of the Lewis Farms Area Structure Plan located in west Edmonton, just west of Winterburn Road and south of Whitemud Drive. Rosenthal is well under development with fountains, playgrounds, parks, walking trails and a spray park already constructed. Each home pays an annual fee, which is anticipated to be $100-200 per year. These fees are determined by the Home Owners Association board of directors who are members of the Rosenthal community. Fees go towards maintenance in the community, including walking trails, water features, playgrounds and parks in the Rosenthal neighbourhood. The city is currently looking into the development of a Catholic elementary/junior high school, as well as a combined high school and recreation centre for within the community.

LaPearl is the designated elementary school. Michael Phair junior high Cogito programming is designed for students who are willing to work to achieve a high level of academic excellence. Conveniently located grocery shopping, financial services and dining are available at the Shops of Granville, including Costco! The many stores, restaurants, and entertainment of West Edmonton Mall are minutes away.
